Great America

We spent the day at Great America with Camden and Brayden's cousins, Jocelyn and Felicia, and their Uncle David. We arrived before they did and the boys weren't to sure that they wanted to brave some of the rides. They did manage to talk Grandpa into one or two and then they discovered the Sponge Bob Squarepants ride! We spent quite a while at this ride while they rode it several times. The ride twirled them around and around while flinging them from side to side. I was sure glad I wasn't on the ride with them!

Once their cousins joined them, we headed to ride Rugrats Runaway Reptar, Psycho Mouse, Centrifuge, Eagle's Flight, Rip Roaring Rapids, Flying Eagles, Kidzville rides. Survivor Ride, Barney Oldfield's Speedway, Berserker, and the Celebration Swings. Grandpa and I had to "run" to keep up but we managed to be there to record all the events with the camera. We even managed a few movies that can be seen on Flickr.

While David, Camden, Jocelyn and Brayden were on the Rip Roaring Rapids, the game shut down. They were having mechanical difficulties. As David put it, they were on a "lazy river ride" for a while. And as Geoff, put it: "Sitting in the raft is probably more fun than breathing smoke in Rville." I think the kids enjoyed it but it was a little warm out there and we couldn't spray them because they turned the water off in the sprayers, too!!! Felicia and Grandpa were enjoying the Flying Eagle ride while this was going on and I was limping from one place to another taking pictures. It was an exciting time!

When the day was over, we still had the long drive home. We stopped for dinner at Red Robin and then started our trek. We had a bet as to who would fall asleep first. I think I dozed first but Brayden was right there dozing with me! Camden and Grandpa managed to stay awake the whole way home.

Today we are resting and recovering!

The turtles are running!

We had breakfast at the Original Pancake House with Jeannie and Mitch Mitchell. Brayden finally got his yearned for french toast while Camden ate a waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was a good way to start the day.

We stopped off at Petsmart on our way home and found three more little koi that needed a happy home. We just couldn't resist so they joined the other fish in Grandee & Grandpa's pond. We keep running out to check on them but only catch glimpses of them. They are still a little shy.

Then, Grandee & Grandpa brought out the turtle! We rode on it a very long time ago when we were little. We thought we were getting too big but then Grandpa took a turn! You can see the rest of the movies on Flickr. The movies are kind of hazy because of the smoke in the air. We finally had to go back inside

A little later we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese. We played several of the games, but our favorite was the snow mobile races. We played that over and over while Grandee and Grandpa watched and took pictures. The pizza was not very good, but we had fun anyway.

On our way home, we stopped at the grocery store and bought some ice cream. Grandee got to ride in the electric cart. She was not a good driver but she didn't hit anyone. They all stayed far away from her.

Right now we are sitting outside watching our fish. Grandpa gave us permission to use the pole to take our some extra green stuff. We are being very careful not to harm any fish.

The Slime Patrol

Brayden has been reminding Grandpa everyday that he needs to clean the algae out of the pond. Grandpa kept telling him he would. Well, tonight was the night. They joined forces and the boys helped Grandpa clean the big pond and the little pond.

It truly was a slimy job, but the boys were real troopers. They got right in their and pulled the green stuff out of the pond right along with Grandpa. It took a lot less time and everyone had loads of fun! I'm sure Grandpa appreciated their help.

Camden & Brayden's Roseville, California Adventure

We are in Roseville at Grandee & Grandpa's house. Friday was our first day here Brayden got to the Backyard in Bugdom, we opened special Webkinz trading cards from Mama and Papa and we rode our bikes.

We rode our bikes to the library and the the Utility Exploration Center. We checked out books and learned about pollution and saving energy.

On our way home, Grandee fell off her bike. She is OK, but her knee hurts and her bike is broken.

Jocelyn and Felicia were here on Saturday. Uncle David and Aunt Karen took us to the Roseville Aquatics Park and we played in the water and went on the slides. Camden and Jocelyn went down the slide first. Brayden went down the slide at the end.

posted by camden:: today we went on a scooter, bike and golf cart ride. grandee had to ride in the golf cart brayden and I rode scooters and grandpa rode his bike. brayden and I got to ride in the golf cart.

We went to Petsmart to get some fish for the pond. They didn't have the regular feeder goldfish so we got two small Koi. We brought them home and put them in the pond. They hid under the rocks. Later we went out to check on them and we saw a snake crawl out of the pond. He was too small to be eating our fish.

Zoyie update

What a cutie.....little Zoyie is doing great and growing a lot! She bounces everywhere. We are learning "outside", "potty", "no bite", and "yip". She will 8 weeks old on Saturday, so she is still very young. But she is adapting quite well. The boys are extremely diligent and quite responsible with her. A few mishaps, but both boys tell her "I love you". Makes a Mama proud. They come home and play with right after school. Zoyie is such a perfect fit for our family. I will post more pics soon as we have had a brawl with our computer moves.
